Who We are
CODE'N'COLOR is a PhD student support group at Northwestern University for Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC) who are in computing and coding related disciplines. We meet weekly for coffee/snack breaks and host BIPOC PhD holders who are leaders in computing.
We are advised and supported by BIPOC faculty in CS, ECE, and LS. The group is intended to provide a safe and supportive space for young scientists to interact with future faculty peers and climb the treacherous slopes of the ivory tower, cognizant of the unique, different demands and obstacles that BIPOC PhD students face.
We are currently meeting for lunch in-person every week. If you would like to get involved, please reach out.
